School is Cool!

Cory signed up for classes today. A couple of months ago he applied to an online program to get his bachelors in HVAC Engineering Technology and we found out this week he was accepted! He is only taking one class this semester to get back in the swing of things but we are both really excited! We just didn't feel like we had enough going on having a baby, both working full time and being in the YM and YW presidencies! :) Bring on the adventure!
And just for a fun picture, Cory and "Little Cory," as my dad calls her!

3 Months Old!

Our baby girls is 3 months old!  I can seriously not believe it!  I feel like the time has flown by.

Likes: standing up with Mommy and Daddy's help, TV, snuggling with Mommy, bells, bouncy seat, her hands!, talking to her books, patterns (wear a plain shirt if you want this girl to pay attention to you, otherwise she will stare at your shirt!), grabbing things
Dislikes: Being still, riding in the stroller on bumpy roads, loud noises (Cory sneezed while he was holding her the other day and she literally burst into tears, which is actually the cutest thing because she pokes her little lip out first!)

She loves sucking on her hands!

Me and baby girl on her blessing day.

Chatting with Daddy.

This will keep her happy for ages! She loves looking at and talking to her books!

She also likes to watch and talk to the tv.

Scandalous girl!

We love playing with this girl and watching her grow! Some days it seems like she gets bigger while we are at work! We are so blessed to be her Mommy and Daddy!

PINK!

When I was in college, I was a nanny for a little girl.  She was so cute and every day I came over she was dressed in pink.  For some reason, this drove me nuts.  I have never been a big fan of pink. Seriously, my brothers may have more pink items of clothing than I do!  I never wanted pink things for my room or pretty pink bows or any of that.  I guess that is what comes of spending your childhood building forts and mud pies with your little brother.  Anyway, I felt so badly for this little girl always being dressed in pink that I would change her into one of her very few non-pink outfits after I fed her lunch each day.  It was my own little battle against the pink.
Before Lydia Jane was born, I was again thinking about this terrible pink!  I just knew it was going to be everywhere and I would hate it!  Imagine my surprise now that she is here and I LOVE pink!  I have ordered pink clothes for myself, added more pink to her nursery, bought her more pink clothes.  Pink, pink, pink!  As I type this I am wearing a pink sweater drinking water out of a cup with a pink straw!  What has happened to me?! I may have won some battles all those years ago, but I think pink has beaten me in the war...

Hooray for pink!
